Understanding Jesus’ Human Experience – Ignatian Spirituality

Fr. Joseph Tetlow, SJ, responds to the query, “What hints can you give us for understanding Jesus’ human experience through prayer?”

He provides three items of recommendation in reply:

• Read and re-learn the Gospels.
• Know that the Holy Spirit is lively within the Gospels and in our hearts, serving to us to know what the Gospels are.
• Remember that you simply’re fascinated by Jesus’ expertise. The expertise of a human is the expertise of our head, our coronary heart, and what we’re doing.
