Take This Resentment Away – Ignatian Spirituality

A professor in my Ignatian Spirituality class instructed us a couple of man who prayed, asking God to remove his resentment at a relative, with out success. The professor stated, “Show me how you pray.” The man, wanting very fervent, lifted his head to the heavens and repeated time and again, “God, take this resentment away from me!” The professor regarded on the man’s arms, which had been clenched tight. He stated, “Your words are saying you want to let this go, but your hands are telling a different story.” The man opened his arms and prayed once more, and aid got here to his face.
