Sin and the Examen – Ignatian Spirituality

Fr. Joseph Tetlow, SJ, responds to the query, “How can we use the Examen to better understand our experiences of sin or failure?”

He means that after we pray the Examen, we take into consideration our experiences by way of seven sides:

1. Context
2. Condition of thoughts and coronary heart
3. Perspective
4. Perception
5. Value
6. Desire
7. Decision
