Exercising with God – Ignatian Spirituality

Sit-ups, leg lifts, and squats: how can I pray always after I’m imagined to be exercising?

I’m wondering how the folks in Thessalonica responded to St. Paul’s letter educating them to hope with out ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17–19) Did they pray strolling to the properly? Repairing their tents? Wrapping a stubbed toe?

What does fixed prayer imply to me?

I am going straight to God each morning upon rising (properly, nearly each morning). It’s a proper timed prayer slot, as a result of I would like that dedication to border the remainder of my day. When I have to alternate leg lifts, I merely use thanks because the half-marker between every rep. Or typically I exploit one of the best quick prayer: Jesus. Perhaps in strengthening my muscle mass, I’m constructing sturdy prayers too.

Yesterday a pal launched me to the time period audio divina. Instead of lectio divina, I pray with music on this adaptation. Listening to music whereas I do cardio train is an excellent approach to assist me pray with out ceasing. I guess if St. Ignatius had owned a mobile phone, he would have integrated music into his Spiritual Exercises.
