The kingdom of God is all the time surprising; it catches me unexpectedly and calls for responses from me that jolt me out of my mediocrity. Its values are counter-cultural. There the poor come first; despised individuals are essential; wealth is for sharing; hatred is out; forgiveness is in; love is all that issues in the long run. Wow!
